Has anyone here had experiences with chronic abscessing in a horse? My horse Emma has been blowing abscesses left and right out of three out of four of her feet and I am at wits end.
I am not looking for how to treat an abscess, I am well aware of the process by now, but more looking for people who have had this problem and have found ways to deal with it. It seems like as soon as summer ends each year, she goes abscess crazy with the seasonal change even though we donapos;t have much change here except the temperature, there hasnapos;t really been excessive wet/dry.
I am getting pads put on her as soon as the abscesses have cleared because we suspect much of it is from flat sensitive feet. Does anyone recommend really great hoof supplements that have helped their horse? I am looking at Grand Hoof Pellets, but only because they seem to contain the most ingredients for the best price from SmartPak. Any other information or tips/thoughts/whatever would be great Thanks
